Best of luck in your endeavour Kitsune :) Maybe we can both be more creative with our time. I know the TV has been snaring a lot of my attention recently. But I am too trying to make a break for it.

I know exactly how you feel Kitsune, ever since I graduated in July I have felt my 'creative spark' as I call it, that burst of imagination that takes your mind far away for this harsh reality, has been dummed down by so many issues in real life. Primarily finding a full time job, finding a house, problems with loved ones - not that most of those things have been sorted I still find myself sitting in front of the TV more often than I should be. As a young budding writers I'm constantly told in writing books and magazines and by authors themselves to write something every day, even if it's rubbish. I am shamed to think I can not do what they reccomend. WHen most nights there isn't much worth watching at all on TV. A friend once said to me that I'm merely resting creativily and gathering thoughts and ideas subconsciounsly, as much as it might make sense I don't think it is the entire truth of the matter. I have become bogged down in life and have thus lost my childhood dream to tell storys, create characters and have adventures in far away lands. Suprising to say though that once I stop worrying about life issues ideas, sparks of inspirations, have been resurfacing strongly inside my head. And I actually beleive it is because I'm 'stoking the fire' to say by getting into my old habits of being a bookworm. Ideas are even bombarding me when I'm at work which is such a delightful and frustrating feeling when you are so keen to get an idea out but in an enviroment unable to allow it, so I just keep myself thinking on it during my work, allowing it to grow, develope and soon it comes out beautifully.
It is so easy to become lazy, uncaring about what talents and beliefs you have but as long as you do one tiny thing that makes you happy and is connected to it all then deep down that uniqueness about your character never dies.
So keep at it, don't loose faith that you've lost touch with what you believe in. Try to take tiny steps at first, make it a habit and then before you know it you're as delightfully obsessed about that special something like you used to be. Have faith, believe, think happy thoughts and do happy things and even if your real world is causing problems then at least that special thing is there to help you through it all.

Hello Kitsune, I must say I love your blog title not only because I love foxes but I also love heathen things, especially if their norse viking related. I am particularly impressed that you also have been starting a new job like I have too these past few months. I do hope that your new job will turn out as enjoyable as mine is at present and your new colleagues are equally nice.
Found your blog by typing in cloaks as I also half made my own especially for the Jorvik Viking Festivals held in York each year. My best mate milli put together the fabric then I went mad decorating it. I intend to put pictures of it soon on my own little blog. I hope you like it when you see them. Would love to see pictures of the cloaks you make
Anyway it's been nice to meet you albeit via your blog.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi,
I need a cloak for winter. Preferably red wool. I like the Inverness style with the cape over.
As you can see from my measurements, I am a large woman and in a wheelchair.
Can you help?
Thanks,
Sherry
Arm length from spine to wrist 31”

Arm from shoulder seam to wrist 24”
Hip/stomach at widest when sitting 92”
Since I am in a wheelchair, mostly I sit!
Hip widest when standing 74.5”
Upper arm circumference 25”
Bust 66”

I would have to say that I am also very interested in a tattoo of my power animal, the white fox.. came to me in a vision, and I ve been searching for it, and understand why the fox is my power animal, it holds my streangths and weeknesses. I am also an artist, and was looking for an easy way to draw my own tattoo, this is very helpfull. I understnd mannerisms in using other peopls work, and will not use this design. BUT I must say, it inspires me. Thanks.

Hi :)
We've just stumbled upon your website.
We're making webcomics on Cuchulainn and, of course, Emer. (and Aoife, let's not forget her ;) even if we're for the moment retelling the story of Setanta on his way to Emain Macha.
We've made quite a few illustrations of the Tain heroes and the Tuatha Dé.
Here's a link to three illustrations of Emain Macha : http://www.oghme.com/post/Les-Trois-Branches-de-Conchobar
The kid on the roof top is Setanta.

Always glad to meet with Tain friends.
Cheers !
